I don’t understand where money goes these days.

Think about your town - namely the infrastructure. Roads have been paved, signs put up, street lights wired, utility poles put in. For the most part, the infrastructure of all of that stuff is set in. yeah, they still add new, but not at the rate that they have in the past.

So all of the tax money that went to put all of that in, where does that go today? Maintenance of all of that stuff can’t be nearly what it cost to put in in the first place.

My rough guess is that we only spend 10% of the money to new road and utility projects that we spent previously on installing the basis.

Where does all of the money go now?
