For all of those interested, I’ve updated the sil1 link.
Yesterday, Caleb demanded that I blog a blog about my new job. So here it is…I’ve got a new job.
That’s Back From Vacation.
I’ll do a writeup in a few days. In the mean time, watch my flickr stream.
Note: If you’re wondering why I’m always wearing a red “Rose-Hulman” sweatshirt, it’s because it was the only long sleeved vessel I had and it was COLD in Florida most of the time we were there.
I’ve started a Writeboard to keep track of people who will be coming to the Chicago Rails studio. We’d like to try and get a meetup together, probably for the night before the workshop starts.
Email me : caleb at AAA EEE III dash tech dot com (that’s aei-tech.com) for an invite.
UPDATED: Mike Clark says to hold on just a minute and we’ll all be getting invites to a more formalized system shortly.
Is it just me, or does every local newspaper that runs a website have really poorly developed websites?
They seem to treat them like they’re newspapers as well - stuffing in as many ads and flashy things as possible.
Most look like they were designed by first graders using Frontpage ‘95.
You’d think with the number of quality reporters and graphic designers they employ, they’d have better websites than they do.
The screenshots I’ve seen of Newsvine look pretty promising, however.
Someone, prove me wrong on this newspaper thought.
