Vegas, Baby!

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

I’m in Vegas, Baby!

Last night I did a bit of exploring with my co-worker and co-worker’s husband. We walked around the Bellagio, then down to New York, New York, over the Grand, and then back to the Paris.

This morning I went on a run. I found Ellis Island - about a 12 minute walk from the Paris. I also ran past the Westin; they were advertising dollar craps.

I’ve got a little bit of work to do. If I have time before the next session, I’m going to check out some more of the strip.

Old Computer

Thursday, November 16th, 2006

I got a new laptop (a blog entry detailing the event is forthcoming), so my old laptop is now for sale. Before I ebay it, I thought I’d put out an offer on the internet tubes blog-o-world:

It’s a 15″ Powerbook G4, 1.5GHz, 80GB HD, 512MB RAM. It comes with OSX 10.4 (Tiger) and all of the normal goodies that entails. I’ve wiped and reformatted the harddrive so the install will be fresh. I have the original box, CDs, manuals, and all adapter cables.

If you’re not familiar with the Powerbook, it’s a top of the line notebook with lots of extra features that make it very standoutish. Backlit keyboard, sudden motion sensor, built in wireless, 2 firewire (400 and 800), 2 USB, DVI and DVI->VGA, svideo, audio in and out, etc.

The past few days the same model has been selling on ebay for right at $800 + $30-40 shipping. If anyone is interested in buying it, make me an offer. I’ll entertain offers above $750 including shipping. I plan to list it very soon.
