I use the Tivo Desktop utility to transfer them to my PC.

Then I use the "Direct Show Dump Utility" to change them from tivo format to mpeg.

Then I use "Videora iPod Converter" to actually convert them down to .mp4 format that is the right size for the iPod.

All of them are free, but it takes a while to run them all.</description>
