Painting
Caleb and I decided that our kitchen needed a little bit of color.
After toying with a few ideas and colors, I painted yesterday. Here are a few things that I discovered…
a. none of the cabinets and countertops are level,
b. textured walls suck, and
c. the original paint sucks, too, i had some problems with the paint peeling off when i removed the tape.
I think the new paint scheme looks good but Caleb’s still not sold; he hasn’t decided if he likes the “not between the lines” look of the squares.

i think it was a good idea, but the rest of the kitchen is still very white
the runover is because of the textured walls. my house has the same thing, and you are right, they suck. i think the best way to fix it (though time consuming) is to get a tiny detail brush and square up the sides by hand.

fuckim if he can’t take a joke…
i think it looks good, and you don’t have to tell people the paint wasn’t supposed to do that

It’s going to suck if you ever want to paint over the squares, though. It will require lots and lots of killz. That’s the only downside of stuff like that.
Looks good, though.
