It’s Friday, and I’m stoked.

Strassenfest is in 55 days. And for someone who has no close personal ties to Jasper other than their annual beer drinking festival, I must admit I’m highly looking forward to it.

If you read this blog because you know me (sorry syndicated readers who don’t live in Indiana) and you haven’t committed yourself to going to strassenfest yet do yourself a favor and plan it. It is the most awesome of times.

Bonus Material this year:

* Board provided by Chez “BBD” Dooley. Their motto: “Better breakfasts than the Hampton Inn and only minor baby-crying noise”

* Friday night biergarten with live polka music

* Saturday morning 5k run for you runners out there. For us non-runners, a light beer brunch will be served

* Saturday afternoon: Zoar Mosquito Fest, with their over 20 varieties of homemade ice cream.

* Special Guest Appearance: The Beav and a bunch of guys named Werner, Helmut, and Franz.

You have 55 days left to clear your calendars. There is no reason NOT to go. So c’mon already…GO!
