Recently overheard at a local grocery store, mother taking cell phone out of her purse telling daughter: "Well, these bananas are pretty ripe. Let's call grandma and see if she still wants them." For Pete's sake, they are 49 cents a pound, just buy them. Also, what would you have done 15 years ago before you had a cell? I assume you would have just bought them.

Furthermore, at our local Wal-mart, people like to meet and greet in the aisles. I can't count the number of times I have had to completely turn around my cart and enter the aisle from the other end because a group of three of four local yokels and their carts weren't going anywhere in the foreseeable future.
