Two bucks saved

Annie, don’t read this blog.

Coworker and I went to lunch today at Dennys. This is because he had a coupon book that expires tomorrow so we’re trying to use some of them up. Dennys was the only place left in the book that either of us had a desire to eat.

Quality was poor, service was slow, food was eh (I had 3 pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, and hashbrowns…some kind of SLAM).

And the coupon was buy 1 get 1 free entree with the purchase of 2 drinks.

Well, my meal was $5.99 and his was $7.49, so I got the freebie. But, a drink cost $1.85, meaning that we paid $3.70 to save $5.99. We both would have gotten water, otherwise.

So when it came down to it, the split lunch cost us about 6 bucks a piece. Not much of a savings in my book. Surely not enough to warrant the trip to Dennys.

Annie, I told you not to read this blog.
