More car woes
We finally got the red2-mobile back on Wednesday but only after some major unplanned repairs.
The body shop determined that the cause of the accident was a missing cotter pin and nut. These two missing pieces caused the tirod to come loose from the spindle. The body shop fixed everything up and drove the car into town to get an alignment. On the way to the alignment, there was a little mishap.
The tirod had been much farther bent than it should have and therefore when they took the car out and drove it at a higher speed they had a big problem. The air condition belt broke and hit the cam, the cam belt broke and hit the pistons, and the piston broke. So I got a new engine out of the deal - well not new but a new to my car engine - good news is that it has 10,000 less miles than my original engine.
We picked the car up on Tuesday afternoon. On the drive home, I noticed the air condition wasn’t working. Celeb decided to poke around a bit and noticed an oil leak. We promptly took the car back.
Finally on Wednesday afternoon, I got the car back. It seems to be running good but it’s just not the same anymore.

Ouch - your car has lost her innocence. So sorry to hear about all of the problems… But really glad that the issues have only involved damage to the car - not to your person.

Did you have to cover all the costs?
