Weekend

This weekend was a productive one.

First, I upgraded my master bedroom closet to a versino 2.0 design. By that, I mean that I added an extra shelf/hanger rack to hang clothes on. However, the existing shelf was at such a height that the closet wouldn’t support having two hangable shelves, so I had to move it up about 12 inches as well. Now I’ve got two racks to hang clothes from instead of one.

Then, I installed a wall mount TV stand and got rid of the nightstand that was housing my TV. That makes the room look much more open, I think. The downer is that the lovely “made in China” design of this TV stand, coupled with its clearance price, meant that the platform that holds the TV tilts to the left. Not so much that it effects the balance of the TV, but enough that it is noticable. The alternative was to remount the wall unit non vertically so that the TV actually sat upright, but I vetoed that.

Annie also brought me a nightstand for next to my bed to keep the clock radio on. I had a nightstand there previously, but moved it over by my computer to act as a printer stand, and as such I have been living with my clock radio on the floor next to the bed. Makes it precarious to try and tell the time without rolling over and looking over the edge of the bed. So, now I don’t have to.

Although in her zeal to fix the problem she apparently turned the volume completely down on my alarm, which is why instead of a 5:15 wakeup time this morning I had a 7:15 wakeup by the cat. I probably would still be snoozing now, thanks to the sleeping pill I took last night, if it wasn’t for that pesky critter.
