Interview: Mortimer Ichabod
Following in Beanblog’s footsteps, here’s my recent interview, conducted with Mortimer Ichabod:

Mr. Ichabod, you’re best known for your work with Dr. Bill Cosby in Picture Pages, first on Captain Kangaroo and later on Pinwheel on Nickelodeon. What was it like working with Dr. Cosby?
Ichabod: He’s a great guy. I mean, most people think he’s just about Fat Albert and pudding pops, but he’s a whole lot more. Did you know he was the first black man on the moon? Or that he saved over 30 people from drowning on the Titanic?
No, I was not aware of those things.
Ichabod: Oh yeah, Bill is a great guy
I see. Well, tell the readers what you’ve been up to since your days on Picture Pages
Ichabod: I think most of your readers will probably know me best as the guy who does the funny voices in the Police Academy movie. The character was played by Michael Winslow, but I provided the actual sounds for the sound effects that he did in that movie.
I wasn’t aware of that either. I thought he did all of his own sounds.
Ichabod: Nope, that was me. Also, in the 90s I toured with Depeche Mode,
Really. What did you do with Depeche Mode?
Ichabod: I’m an ink pin man, what do you think? I was used for writing down lyrics, phone numbers, thoughts…you know.
Okay then. So, what keeps you busy today?
Ichabod: Well, my felt tip has long since dried out, and they don’t make picture pages anymore, so I can’t really do that. Mostly I just sit around and make sure my wikipedia page doesn’t get defaced…collect some pension money and royalties from old syndicated episodes of PP.
Fantastic. Do you have any last words of wisdom you’d like to share?
Ichabod: All you folks out there that have a propensity for chewing on pen caps - stop it
