I got an email from the travel club the other day (to which I’m not a member…go figure), and it read something like this:

Los Angeles: The Price is Right Show
Book today while there is space to get on the May 1-3 trip!

Ambassadair has arranged the flight, hotel, and show tickets. All you need to do is book your spot online or call our Reservations center and you could be the next contestant playing Plinko, spinning the Big Wheel, and winning both Showcase Showdowns.

Five Ambassadair groups attended a taping last fall, and each time, a Club member was called to be a contestant - proving the theory that attending the show with a group increases your chances to getting to Contestants Row. It also helps to be creative: On the Club’s first trip in November 2004, a member was chosen as a contestant after she recited a poem about the show! On the final trip of 2004, Doug Ruble (pictured here) even won the Showcase Showdown featuring a Greek Isles cruise, all-terrain vehicle, and espresso machine. Afterward, the entire Club group joined him on stage. Those who watched the show when it aired in January saw Doug and other Ambassadair members celebrating as the credits rolled!

Man, that’s one of my life long dreams. Too bad I’m going on vacation in such close proximity to that date. That would be so AWESOME.
