Suite Sunday

I’m not a big basketball fan…something I probably shouldn’t admit in Indiana in March. But when a vendor called and offered a couple of suite tickets to the Pacers game on Sunday, I wasn’t about to turn them down.

The experience was much more subdued than the Colts game we attended via another vendor last year. For starters, the Fieldhouse was probably only a third full. The suite was smaller, too, but the size made for a more intimate setting. Here’s the view from the actual seats (sorry for the quality, it’s from my cell phone)…

There were plenty of drinks but only a few snacks, popcorn and peanuts. BUT what the snacks lacked the dessert cart made up for. Around the start of the second quarter the suite attendant mentioned that there was a dessert cart out back. Caleb was out of his seat in before I even knew what was going on. There were so many chooses but Caleb got the red velvet cake and I opted or the marble cheesecake torte; both excellent choices. Unfortunately, the dessert cart only stopped by once.

The game was actually pretty good. The Pacers were ahead most of the game and actually won. Half time entertainment was Frisbee catching dogs that were actually pretty amazing. I even got a high five from Boomer.

Unfortunately, we didn’t see Kelly or any other notables but it was a fun evening.
