Why is this interesting. Well it’s not really. But I was just kind of randomly looking today and noticed that the song lyrics are all pretty much about what people like about their particular states. Pick any one, and you’ll see they’re full of lyrics about why that state is so great:

Indiana:

or Texas:

But of all of them, New York was pretty much the most bland.

I mean, it doesn’t say anything. It’s like a 3rd grader who writes a paper about why their dog is the best dog in the world but never gives any reason. New York is special because it’s different and nobody can compare it. What? Ok, but WHY?

C’mon New York. Fix your state song already.
