Home Improvement - Guest Bedroom and Floor Refinishing

Since we were going to have the hardwood floors refinished, we went ahead and took this as an opportunity to paint he guest bedroom.

This is what the bedroom looked like before we moved in:

For the past year and a half it was just a guest bedroom (albiet, with a bigger bed).

However, at one point we removed the carpet in the upstairs and then we decided to do a refinish of the hardwood floor.

Here’s me in this room repainting the ceiling.

As a side note, the Dutch Boy ceiling paint that is purple, but dries white, is TERRIBLE. For one, it goes on much worse than other DB paints. And for two, it stays purple all of 30 seconds or so, so it doesn’t do any better job of showing you where you’ve already painted than regular white paint does anyway. Stay away from it.

After this, we painted the room green. I don’t have any pics of that explicitly, but I DO have pics of the green room after the floor got sanded:

And our landing

And now, the final product after the floor is refinished and the furniture is back in. We also put in a new light fixture.

And a view of our stairs that also got refinished.
