It’s a week later, and we survived the flood unscathed.
Our hospital is out of commission for at least 4 months. Many other businesses are still closed. The newspaper said 1500 homes damaged. We were lucky.
To lighten the mood (and since I’m mildly inebriated), here’s a question I just posed to the wife:
What would happen on Wheel of Fortune if you spun the wheel, the guessed a number (”How about a 5, Pat”) ?
Would he just reprimand you and remind you it’s a letter based puzzle, or would you lose a turn?
Help me out here.

I think Pat would be utterly confused and they’d eventually have to consult the rule book for a judgement on this issue. Of course, they would edit all that out, so we’d only see: “I’ll take a 5, Pat.” “Hahaha, no, Milo, there’s no 5 on the board. Hahaha. Hannah, your turn.”

I see stupid people call out letters that are already on the board all the time, so they lose their turn.. One of these days Pat is going to snap. “WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU, CAN’T YOU SEE WITH YOUR OWN EYES?! DUMBASS!!!”
….. er.. what I meant to say is: Who watches wheel of fortune, anyway?
