Announcing: Data Cave

It’s been many months in the works, but I’m excited to formally announce my new project:

Announcing, Data Cave.

We’ve set out on a journey to build a very impressive computer data center here in Columbus. This was not an easy choice. We’ll be spending many millions of dollars to make this happen. But we think it has big potential, and we’re excited.

We’ve kept this mostly under wraps now for a while we planned our strategies and worked on the details, but with the recent flooding we’ve had inquiries. And tonight we received our city tax abatement, which means we can go forward.

What does this mean? Well, it means that we (Annie and I) get to spend the next few months watching a very impressive building go into place. It means we get to start working with businesses on how housing their IT infrastructure at a place like this is a good thing. It means probably many sleepless nights, and no vacations for a while. And it means lots of stressful times ahead.

I’m certainly looking forward to it.
